How to Revive a Resurrection Plant?
The Resurrection plant is a plant capable of rehydrating after a long period of desiccation. Once placed in a container with a little water, it gradually begins to open. Depending on its size and condition, this transformation can take anywhere from a few hours to two or three days.
To bring it back to life, simply place the Resurrection plant in a saucer or shallow bowl and pour in a few millimeters of water. There is no need to cover it completely: only its base should be in contact with the water. Place it in a bright area, away from direct sunlight.
After a few days, it is recommended to remove the water and allow the Resurrection plant to dry completely. This resting phase is essential for its proper preservation. It can then be rehydrated again whenever you wish. Alternating wet and dry periods helps preserve the plant for a long time.
To prevent the growth of mold or algae, change the water regularly during the rehydration phases and clean the container if necessary. Avoid leaving the Resurrection plant permanently submerged for several weeks, as this could damage it.
Presented open in a saucer or closed and dry, the Resurrection plant makes for an original item that easily catches the eye in a shop. A demonstration of it opening is also an excellent way to pique interest and explain how it works to your customers.
