Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a plant associated with Venus and has a long magical reputation involving love, attraction and protection. It features in various European love-divination practices, where it was used to seek clues about a future partner or encourage that person to appear in a dream.
In ritual preparations, yarrow accompanies workings for love, attraction, reconciliation and romantic divination. Its Venusian association makes it suited to blends dedicated to emotional relationships, while its historical protective role also extends its use to defensive and cleansing workings.
Counted among the St John's Herbs, yarrow was also used in European practices for protection against witchcraft and influences regarded as harmful. It can therefore accompany workings intended to ward off hostile influences or enhance a protective preparation.
Selected and packaged ready for resale, yarrow is an essential reference for specialist shops wishing to offer ritual herbs associated with love, romantic divination and protection.
